Yoga at the Sanctuary! Join me for vinyasa style yoga! Tuesday's: 10-11am - BASIC FLOW - New to yoga? If so, this class is a good place to begin. In this class, you will learn the basic postures of vinyasa yoga and basic alignment principles. Fewer postures will be practiced at a slower pace, making the setting ideal for asking questions 6-7pm - VINYASA FLOW - from beginner to advanced. class allows multiple options for a pose while still flowing with breath Thursday's: 7-8pm - YIN YOGA - Yin is performed to stretch the connective tissues of the body. Primary connective tissues include the hips, thighs and lower spinal area. These types of tissues do not stretch the muscles (as in the yang form of yoga) but they stretch and exercise the bone and joints areas of the body. This type of asana practice is beneficial to a wide variety of people. Yin yoga is a perfect match for yang yoga, and provides a deeper stretch. Saturday's: 9-10am - GENTLE FLOW - a more basic class, with longer holds and more grounding postures. A nice place for new practitioners , or the athlete who needs to slow down. This class will concentrate on a more basic postures, hip openers, forward folds as well as restorative stretching to release any unnecessary stress What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga? Vinyasa also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga.
