What’s on your plate?  Mindful Consumption for Sustainable Personal and Social Transformation with Kaira Jewel Lingo and Randall J. Amster We will explore how the teaching on the Four Nutriments can help us cultivate personal and social well-being. We will engage mindful consumption in four areas: edible food, sense impressions, volition and consciousness. How does what we're consuming impact how we see ourselves and connect us with what is around us? How do our choices of what and how we consume reflect our values, priorities, visions and our important work in social transformation as educators?Join us for an interactive and reflective experience, as we explore how mindfulness can help connect us to ourselves, each other, and the world around us.   Where: Fox Haven Farm and Retreat Center/ 3630 Poffenberger Road, Jefferson, MD 21755 Contact Jan at jan@foxhavenfarm.org with questions 7:30 - 8:30 am Yoga (optional in Barn) 8:30 - 9:00 am - Breakfast 9:00 am - 12:15 pm - WORKSHOP 12:15 - 1:00 pm - LUNCH and WRAP UP / vegan and veggie options    Your Facilitators: Kaira Jewel Lingo teaches Buddhist meditation, mindfulness, and compassion internationally, with a focus on activists, people of color, artists, educators, families, and youth.
