The nation's capital is at the epicenter of the HIV epidemic and well suited to host the 2012 International Conference on AIDS for crowds of over 40,000 attendees being held at the Washington Convention Center from July 23-27, 2012.

The DC Community Coalition (DCC) consists of over twenty local HIV service organizations that have strategized a local HIV policy platform as the local co-sponsor for an annual conference that has not been in the United States in over 20 years - since President Obama lifted the HIV travel ban.

One of the subcommittees of the DCC is the YOUTH CORE. It is really important that young people are aware of the importance of this conference and how to get involved given that DC is leading the HIV epidemic in this country.

During this time of decreased federal funding for HIV/AIDS outreach services, your support enables the work of this coalition to continue addressing some of the most critical health issues facing youth today.
