Summer Fridays in the city!

From May through September, the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) presents a wide array of free, outdoor events, highlighted by its signature “Farragut Fridays” series each week in Farragut Park, at Connecticut Avenue and K Street, NW, Washington, D.C. including:

- “Outdoor office” use by area workers and free WiFi access.
- From noon to 2 p.m. the park comes alive for fun with lunchtime activities, including lawn games and “pop-up events,” which change each week.

Some weeks events include:
- A showcase of adoptable puppies from the Humane Rescue Alliance (formerly the Washington Humane Society and Washington Animal Rescue League). Along with the puppies, the Alliance will bring along some of their human companions to help find forever homes for these lovable pets.
- Chef demonstrations led by noteworthy culinary experts from various local restaurants.
- Games, games and more games: ping-pong, corn hole, jenga, foosball and badminton. August’s Golden Games offers an end-of-summer ping pong tournament to determine the champion of Farragut Square.
- Live entertainment provided in partnership with Wolf Trap and other arts organizations.
