Found in both pottery and basket making, stop by the museum to discover this essential technique and craft a basket from paper coils. Shape, color, texture, and decoration are limited only by your imagination. This workshop is presented as part of the museum’s series of Workshop Wednesdays. Every first Wednesday of the month, stop by the museum for drop-in classes from trained teachers. Stay for as little or as long as you like to complete your masterpiece. All skill levels and ages welcome; participants under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required, but please remember that these events are first-come, first-served. Free and open to the public. Image: Basket with lid, early to mid-20th century, Harari peoples Gift in memory of Nancy E. MacDonald Object is not currently on exhibit
